Faced with a client in their very advanced years, advisors must consider a whole raft of issues in their advice and planning. This session will examine key estate planning matters for the very elderly including:

Tanya is a solicitor at Baker Love Lawyers in Newcastle, specialising in estate planning, deceased estates, estate litigation and elder law. She is also the creator and host of the Just in Case Law podcast.

From 2012 to 2015, Tanya was the Senior Content Developer for the Masters Applied Law Programs at The College of Law.

Tanya commenced legal practice in 2015, and since that time has specialised in Wills, Estate Planning, Deceased Estates and Elder Law.

Tanya has a passion for advocating for the rights of older persons and community education to prevent elder abuse and legal disputes for older persons. She is a member of the Hunter Central Coast Elder Abuse Collaborative which is committed to improving awareness of abuse, neglect and exploitation of older persons and efforts to reduce the risk of abuse in our community. She is also a frequent guest presenter at probus, rotary, and seniors’ community events to provide free legal education to older persons.

From 2019 to 2021, Tanya was a Solicitor with the Elder Abuse Service at Legal Aid NSW, Gosford. In that role she was also the creator and host of the Age, Abuse & Justice podcast series published by Legal Aid NSW.

This webinar is suitable for lawyers and accountants throughout Australia who advise in estate planning matters. This webinar is for practitioners with some knowledge in this area and looking to improve their knowledge.
