Derek Minus is a barrister-at-law with a specialist practice as a dispute resolver at Mediation & Arbitration Chambers (www.medarb.com). He has over 30-years experience in resolving business and interpersonal conflicts.

Derek is a Nationally Accredited Mediator, an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and the former Commonwealth Government mediation adviser, who has mediated over 4,000 matters. His expertise extends to the combined mediation and arbitration of disputes and he is qualified as a Chartered Arbitrator, expert determiner, is a former tribunal member and currently an arbitrator for all Local Courts in New South Wales.

For the past 30 years he has taught specialist courses in negotiation for organisations and has lectured on the subject Commercial Dispute Resolution at the University of Sydney Law School, teaching practical resolution skills for final year and international law students.

His company, Dispute Resolvers, currently provides on-line dispute resolution services under various Codes of Conduct for the franchising, horticulture, dairy, wine, oil and grocery industries in Australia.
