About the Webinar

The most complex dimension of a School is the human dimension. This session recognises that parents have increasingly complex demands and needs, and that schools need to equip themselves to respond.

This empowering session covers case studies including bad behaviour, separated families, subpoenas, discrimination claims, enrolment disputes and parents taking photos and attending school events. Schools will be able to share and learn from “war stories” and be equipped to know how to respond to complex and confronting situations.

Key topics covered are:

  • School’s rights to intervene in “bad” behaviour – parents abusing staff/coaches, taking photos, posting damaging content online, hanging around the school, fighting with each other

  • Complex family arrangements – preparing for school pick-up, parent requests to exclude the other parent or new partner from school or information, re-jigging enrolment agreements without compromising school’s fee recovery

  • Responding to family law subpoenas

  • Claims of discrimination – accommodating diverse students, including students with special needs - equipping the School to understand its obligations
