Being called “Australian Consumer Law”, you could be forgiven for thinking it applies only to “consumer goods”. However, it can impact business-to-business contracts. If your clients are in the business of supplying goods or services to other businesses, it’s important to know if the ACL applies to your contracts before finding out they are void and unenforceable. This session will explore:

  • What is the consumer guarantee?

  • When are smaller supply agreements, that are part of ongoing supply agreement, caught?

  • Limiting or excluding the consumer guarantee

  • Structuring contracts so they’re not caught by the consumer guarantee
