This session will provide practitioners with drafting skills to pre-empt as far as possible challenges to their client’s wishes, including consideration of:
- Protecting special needs children – is a trust the answer?
- The stay at home child – will the house be sold from under him?
- Estranged family members – the importance of evidence for exclusion from the inheritance, case study: Reg Grundy’s will challenge
- Arrangements in the event of marriage breakdowns
- Protecting gifts to charities from challenges
